Job Description

Siemens India is hiring Electrical Engineers for their energy and automation division in Bangalore.

As an Electrical Engineer at Siemens India in Bangalore, you will contribute to the design, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for industrial automation and energy infrastructure projects. This full-time role is within the energy and automation division, where you will work on solutions ranging from power distribution systems and motor control centers to building automation and smart grid technologies.

Requirements

  • 2-5 years electrical engineering
  • PLC/SCADA knowledge
  • Power systems experience
  • Knowledge of electrical design standards (IS, IEC) and power system analysis tools (ETAP, PSS/E)
  • Experience with panel design, cable sizing, protection relay configuration, and load flow analysis
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profinet, or OPC-UA
  • Strong documentation skills for preparing engineering drawings, test reports, and commissioning records
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency in PLC, SCADA, AutoCAD Electrical is essential for success in this role Familiarity with Power Systems would be an added advantage

Responsibilities

  • Prepare single-line diagrams, control circuit schematics, and wiring layouts for electrical systems
  • Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) for electrical equipment
  • Coordinate with procurement teams for electrical material specifications and vendor evaluation
  • Provide technical support during installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance activities
Document processes, workflows, and technical specifications for knowledge sharing Stay current with industry trends and recommend improvements to existing processes Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements Contribute to a positive team culture through mentorship and knowledge transfer
