Requirements
- 1-3 years pharmacy experience
- Registered pharmacist
- Hospital pharmacy preferred
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or M.Pharm) from a recognized university
- Valid registration with State Pharmacy Council as per the Pharmacy Act
- Knowledge of drug formularies, pharmaceutical inventory systems, and prescription management software
- Understanding of infection control practices and handling of controlled substances
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately
- Patient counseling
- Inventory management
- Verify and dispense prescriptions accurately while checking for drug interactions and dosage appropriateness
- Manage pharmaceutical inventory including ordering, storage, expiry tracking, and disposal of medications
- Coordinate with physicians and nursing staff regarding drug availability, substitutions, and special orders
- Maintain records as per Drug and Cosmetics Act and participate in pharmacy audits
