Deloitte India is hiring Junior Accountants for their audit and assurance practice in Mumbai.

As a Junior Accountant at Deloitte India in Mumbai, you will join the audit and assurance practice, one of the firm’s core service lines, working on statutory audits and financial reviews for clients across diverse industries including manufacturing, financial services, and technology. 0-2 years accountingB.Com or CA IntermediateStrong knowledge of Indian GAAPWorking knowledge of accounting software such as Tally ERP, SAP, or QuickBooksStrong understanding of accounting principles including journal entries, ledger maintenance, and reconciliationFamiliarity with GST filing, TDS computation, and basic direct and indirect tax provisionsProficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial formulas Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a recognized university Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Proficiency in Accounting, Tally, Excel is essential for success in this role Familiarity with Indian GAAP and Audit would be an added advantage

Responsibilities

Assist in audit engagementsPrepare financial statementsTax computation supportAssist in conducting statutory audit procedures including vouching, verification, and confirmationPrepare working papers, schedules, and audit documentation as per firm standardsSupport the preparation of tax returns and regulatory filings for assigned clientsReconcile bank statements, intercompany accounts, and other financial records during audit engagements Stay current with industry trends and recommend improvements to existing processes Document processes, workflows, and technical specifications for knowledge sharing Ensure compliance with company policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements Contribute to a positive team culture through mentorship and knowledge transfer
